Art Challenge
Brief:
The Museum of Modern Arts is giving an exhibit of art designed purely by robots. Your goal is to have your robot's artwork selected for display. The art can be in any medium you wish...the only limit is your imagination.
Specifications:
You need to design and develop the robot from scratch. You are welcome to look up ideas and designs online, but you cannot just download an existing idea and present it as your own.
The robot needs to be pre-programmed. That is, you cannot use a remote control to manoeuvre the car.
You are welcome to use any sort of electronics on the robot. Choices range from Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Microbit to more expensive units like the VEX and EV3 kits. Adding sensors will be a bonus. Younger students can use Beebots or similar. There is no limit to the number of robots you can use for one piece of artwork.
The robot can use any medium for the artwork - paint, pen etc.
The artwork needs to reflect as many skills as possible for your robot. The more complex the art, the better you will be scored. For example, can the robot use multiple colours?
Submission:
You will need to make a 5 min (max) video of the robot completing the artwork.
In the video you also need to show us the process of your build and coding. We recommend you taking pictures throughout your build and code, so you can use it in the video and talk over it.
We do not need background music on the video.
You will also need to send a photo of the completed artwork.
Robot dimensions: No set rules, make it as big or small as you like.
