Regional Competitions

The competitions provide a platform for students to showcase their skills in designing, building, and programming robots to compete in various challenges. These events not only foster a spirit of friendly competition but also encourage collaboration, teamwork, and critical thinking. Regional competitions serve as qualifying rounds for the RoboCup Junior National Competition, where individuals and teams from across New Zealand come together to compete at a higher level. They are also a great place to start if you’re a beginner.

If you would like to take part in the competition in your area, please get in touch with your regional coordinator (listed below). If your area doesn’t have a competition and you would like to set one up, the Robotics Education New Zealand Trust will support you to do that. Get in touch with rcjnationals@gmail.com.
